Man

Man The Things people say!

I was going to a church and part of the choir; I came in late to practice due to work with a migraine headache. I asked the leader for prayer, he said you were not here for what I just told the other. He said according to him that the lord said we were to ask each other for prayer as we may not always be together. Another pastor’s wife told me i was not to be fleecing – looking for signs when we prayed. As I told her i I had used the way Gideon taught us to pray and it got the results.
First of all not praying is a trick of the devil as, the bible clearly states we are to pray one for another and where two or three are gathered together, we are to intercede for each other.. This just caused confusion and made a little angry. God is not the author of Confusion.
Also we are a body- and doesn’t the body know when something is wrong with one of its parts like in the natural? We do not have to be in the physical presence of other believes – he knows no distance. I was going through a real rough time and was new to an area and 80 miles from home- turned on the internet and i was getting invites from prayer groups I did not know existed or a Christian would call.
Not pray baloney!
Prayer is the key
Remember these three things – when you hear a “word” I does it speak of god, does it go along with the scriptures and confirm in your hear- does it bring peace or anger and confusion.
Do not choke your lifeline to Christ and the Holy Spirit

Spirit of Jealousy – reprinted with permission

Posted by Barbara on September 15, 2009

Spirit of Jealousy
Numbers 5:30

1. Jealousy-A jealous attitude or disposition.
2. Close vigilance

The spirit of jealousy is a demonic stronghold that the enemy sends against mankind. This spirit stronghold is evil and deadly. It manifests itself in the personality of people. I am going to list below common manifestations associated with this spirit.

We need to examine ourselves and if any of these things are manifesting in our lives we need to go after the strongman which is the spirit of jealousy. I am going to list some scriptures that will come against this strongman and by faith with applying the word of God this spirit will be destroyed.
Spirit of jealousy manifestations- accusations, anger, argumentative nature, backbiting, belittling, bickering, bitterness, blasphemy, causing divisions, coarse jesting, competition, contention, covetousness, criticism, cruelty, cursing, deception, destruction, discontent, disputes, dissatisfaction, distrust, enmity, envy, factious, faultfinding, fighting, gossip, greed, hardness of heart, hatred, hurt, inability to cry, insecurity, judging, kleptomania, lying, malice, materialism, mocking, murder, quarreling, rage, railing accusations, restlessness, retaliation, revenge, sadism, self-centeredness, self-hatred, selfishness, spite, stealing, strife, suicide, suspicion, temper, unforgiveness, unworthiness, violence.

This is an exhaustive list of manifestations that are birthed from the spirit of jealousy.

Matthew 12:28-”But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.
Matthew 12:29-Or else how can one enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? Or else how can one enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house, and then he will spoil his house.

Mark 16:17-(GWT) These are the miraculous signs that will accompany believers: They will use the power and authority of my name to force demons out of people. They will speak new languages.
(KJV)- And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

As believers we have power over all the works of the enemy. Jesus said it and I believe!!
Luke 10:19-(KJV) Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

The spirit of jealousy is a demonic foe and must be dealt with according to the word of God. I know there are many more scriptures that will suffice this. Go to the word and search it out. We must apply the word daily to our lives. Satan is very subtle and he will whisper in our ear saying we’re alright when these things are manifesting in our lives. Satan is a liar and he is the father of all lies. He is a deceiver! The Holy Spirit will shine the light on all deceptions which are lies from Satan.
Remember Repentance Is Still The Order Of The Day.

Interesting Reading

A RELIGIOUS SPIRIT This spirit is also known as the spirit of Jezebel. This spirit promotes doctrines that are not the truth. They are false teachers that mislead others away from the Truth of The Bible. A spiritually immature Christian who does not know the Bible can be easily trapped into following after false doctrines. A person with a religious spirit cannot humble themselves or be submission to those who are their elders in the Body of Christ. The Bible exalts Christians to have humility and meekness towards each other and be in submission to each other, especially and foremost to God. For God resists the proud, but gives grace and favour to the humble and those who are obedient. A person who is deceived by a religious spirit can also be tied up with legalism and superstition and are not free in the freedom from the Law that Christ bought for all to share in The New Covenant.

Christ opposed legalism and hyprocrisy. These people are usually strong willed, arrogant, always believe that they are right. They struggle to oppose God, whether they know it or not. They are rebellious, subtle, discriminating, selfish, proud, selfrighteous, insolent, overbearing, disdainful, presumptuous, boastful, frustrate others and bring division more than restoration, healing and reconciling. They are a people who love themselves, love money, are boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to the Word of God, unholy, without love, not lovers of good, having a form of godliness but denying the power and are lovers of pleasure. Compromising can be found amongst these people, according to their own standards, for a religious spirit is rebellious to God, authority, of elders, and sadly pride of youngsters gets in the way of learning. They corrupt the doctrine of God, undermining their loyalty to God by promoting tolerance toward pagan practises, including idols, lust and sexual immorality.

The religious spirit leads people to pursue liberal doctrines for the wrong motives. It can be of human origin, and lacks faithfulness to Christ’s teaching. Standards of righteous conduct are principles that are kept in obedience to God’s Word, in the case of a religious spirit, the person allows those to be a stronger influence than a godly influence, and become judgmental and hypercritical, thinking that they are virtuous when they are not, they defiantly lack honour because of ignorance. The Religious Spirit follows and teaches doctrines that are valueless. There is prejudice due to an attitude of superiority, usually based on false assumptions about people’s behaviour. Presumption is unacceptable in God’s principles. God is not prejudiced. God is not prejudiced.

Those who are truly led by The Holy Spirit will always look for ways to help rather than standing aloof and criticising. The gentleness of The Holy Spirit encourages and does not condemn and crumple the inner persistence of a believer.

The religious spirit instructs on beliefs that are contrary to The Word of God, and encourage others to compromise God’s standards. Many people are unaware that they compromise the principles of God. This spirit promotes pagan religions and spiritual adultery, unbiblical teaching, the tendency to be able to tolerate sin and unrighteousness. People with a religious spirit persecute those who stay with The Word of God, searching the scriptures and studying the Truths of God’s Word. They claim to ‘speak for God’ and have influence and a form of success both in the Body of Christ and to those who take pleasure in worldly matters. The strategy of the religious spirit is to keep Christians focused on evil and away from the Glory of God, through Christ.

This evil spirit has done much damage to The Body of Christ for it does not add life and power, but division and destruction. Upon making spiritually immature Christians self-righteous and proud, the followers then assume that they already know God’s opinion in almost every area. This is a big delusion. The Church needs to continually confront this powerful deception that can cancel the true power of the True Gospel because of these assumptions. The religious spirit was the primary characteristic of the Pharisees of Jesus’ day, as they focused on what was wrong with others being blind to their own faults. Even though this problem was operating then, it still continues to be in force today, conflicting with the true Work of The Holy Spirit. The people have a zeal, but not in accordance with biblical knowledge, and are in reality in opposition to the teachings of Jesus.

They glory in their own zeal for God, this is the snare of the enemy. Cults and false religions are easily discernible, but the religious spirit still remains to do harm in the Body of Christ, it seeks after popularity and seeks out believers to serve The Lord for approval, rather than through the Work of Christ on the Cross. They become unteachable and will use anything in an attempt not to be confronted. If pride is addressed, insecurity and fleshly excuses are there to attract sympathy in defence, this is self-righteousness acting as a deceptive faith, giving an appearance of wisdom, but it is a fleshly minded knowledge. Pride is a great evil. To be godly, pride has to be rejected. Pride leads to other forms of evil, spiritual blindness, a hardened heart, contempt for others, injustice, quarrelling and can become malicious.

The Gifts of The Spirit can only operate in love, so gifts that are used by a religious spirit is false spiritual perception. Also this spirit is much more focused on the earthly realm than the heavenly realm and the attitudes and motives are in opposition to the teachings of Jesus. Jesus called these people who were preoccupied with their own recognition, blind guides. The true fruit of revelation will be humility, not pride.

The motivation of The Holy Spirit is love for The Son of God. Some obvious signs of a religious spirit: -unable to take correction from others -will not listen to others but only ‘to God’ -see the wrong in churches, and not notice what is right -be repulsed by emotionalism to God, forgetting that King David was the most emotional and impassioned for God out of all others, a man after God’s own heart -tries to recognise it in others while over-looking it in themselves. With humbleness, meekness and repentance to God, The love of The Holy Spirit will take over the judgement, pride and self righteousness.

SCRIPTURES Matthew 16:6, Revelation 2:20, Colossians 2:2-8, 18, 19, James 4:6. QUESTIONS 1] What does a religious spirit promote? 2] Should people compromise The Word of God? 3] What is the fruit of reconciliation? 4] How can The Holy Spirit overcome judgement, pride, and self-righteousness in believers?

Butterfly Wings in Honor of Mom

Posted by Barbara on May 10, 2009

btterfly004Motherhood is a precious and fragile as the fragile butterfly wings. It’s time is so short. Treat it lovingly and reverently, or it will disappear as the beautiful butterfly does.
Protect it and nurture it, allowing it to bless others … Instead of hurting others  and forgotten like the caterpillar is . Which do you want to be remembered with love or hated?
the choice is yours…you never know what you have until you lose it.

From Pearls to Roses-Life is never easy

Posted by Barbara on April 24, 2009

What are Pearls Made of?

Pearls are formed when a piece of sand or other irritant wounds the oyster or clam. It secretes a substance that over the years and many layers harden into a beautiful, costly pearl.

Which do you want to be – the irritant or the beautiful pearl? God sees us as more priceless than the costly pearl. Oh for his vision!

The more costly pearls are formed at deeper depths. God sends pearls into our lives via tears by family, friends and situations. If we did not cry getting us through the wounds, we would not grow and learn. How costly a pearl are you going to be?

Thorns

My children, you may be tempted to be bitter and complain about the situations or places I place you in, but remember my children, even the most beautiful of roses has their thorns. To get to the beauty you have to grow thru stages and thorns, learning and perfecting your walk, such as the case remember the three Hebrew children thrown in the fire?  I was with them and brought them out as gold. To be the most beautiful and fragrant of roses – go thru the thorns and dry spells.
Bloom where you are planted.

Roses

A roses’s beauty opens and is fragrant over a short time, pleasing a few that see it – then fades. God’s love is like a rose – opening and slowly over time getting sweeter, more fragrant and more beautiful as is opens. It pleases countless many that see it never fading. Which rose do you want?

Easter Is Almost Here

Posted by Barbara on April 7, 2009

t215The grave is final in the natural sense, my children. But I am in the supernatural, my children. Sickness, death, and all life’s situations are but mere illusions to me and scatter like the wind before me. Step into the supernatural, my children and they will scatter like the wind before you. I have proven my love and power on resurrection morning. Take your hands off- do not limit me and just believe and know that I am god. Reach and be real before me.  written on easter.

Heart Cry

Posted by Barbara on April 6, 2009

t120I had went through a 15 yr marriage filled with verbal abuse and still hadn’t dealt with other issues in my life.    The Lord gave me this – and it helped start the barriers dropping to allow him to heal. I am hoping – should you need to, and are afraid to face the pain and issues, that this will help you get alone with him to start your own healing process.  We all pray, differently but the first step is always the hardest to take. We all put up defenses to keep from getting hurt again, but we don’t need to do it with god.
Dear Lord,
Precious lord, you know my true intentions and my love for you and I praise you for all you have done for me,
I am distressed that I have repeatedly, unknowingly taken things out of your loving hands.
Lord, teach me to depend on you and break through the trust barriers. Heal the wounds that is hindering it as I know now that has been missing in my life- restore unto me what the devil stole from me. Restore the good memories that the locust has stolen over the years and all that he has taken from me at the hands of others. I forgive them and ask you to bind the negative thoughts and emotions for ever caused. Train me, mold me break me (gently please),fill me, use me. Mold me into the person you can use completely. Show me who I can trust and be open with, and to shut my mouth, and to break the negativity. Break the stubborn spirit that has to do it all in me, and show me it is ok to depend on, and trust in you. Lord, I have had to do it myself for so long, because of always being told no when I asked for help, or reminded all the time when they did help, that they did, and wanted repayment, which confused me as we were taught not to do that. Help me to love the sinner and hate their ways, and return good  for  evil, and to do good that despite fully use me, and not get hurt and walk away.

Lord, one time you got my attention so effectively when I slipped and said something I didn’t mean to, You, very disappointedly,  said, What do you think you are doing?  The disappointed tone you used, broke my heart, as I so desire your approval, and to know I am good enough and worthy to do your calling ?  I need to learn the still ,small voice, as it has never been used on me – just loudness( Please oh lord – help me to understand it and learn to hear it clearly) Yelling scares me but , I deal more with the tones and being talked to like my feelings matter.

Put a check in me when I speak, if it is not from you, or do things ahead of you.

Lord, break(bind) the spirits that have been trying to control me-anger,negativity,jealousy,unforgiveness,bitterness,pride,confusion,envy,self-doubt,depression, discouragement. Failure, self-doubt, unbelief, low-self esteem, fear, loneliness, wanting to please and impress others ( I want to please you and only you).

Lord, you said you hear the cries of a broken, contrite, humbled spirit and heart. Refuse me not your Mercies and grace in this. Restore me to what I once was a loving, caring, forgiving person that let go and forgot – help me oh god – to know that again. Let what I’ve been through help others and be for your glory not a hindrance.

Verbally check this sometimes dense, stubborn woman the minute she gets out of line. A loud hey will get my attention- teach me to understand and respond to that still, small voice- never had it used on me before. Do another inside out on me oh lord.

Lord if you love me so much to want to use me: Lock me so totally on you and I will know no other.

Teach me and help me understand when I take it out of your hands and to realize when it is occurring and bind the panic, worry etc.

“Lord grant this one request I ask of you, because I know my ability to screw things up royally.” Take me so deep in your spirit that I will know no other voice but yours and not care what others think and do.’

You said in your word- you would not deny a broken, contrite, repentant spirit and heart. Hear my cry, oh lord and see if there be any wicked way in me know my thoughts I pray- I surrender all to you

A broken, humbled vessel

Grant me your perfect will, joy, peace, humor, wisdom, understanding, kindness, peace and complete knowledge of your love. As David of old said, “grant me your wisdom oh lord .”

Why Is it??

Posted by Barbara on April 6, 2009

23sag4jHave you ever noticed that certain people tend to get blamed for everything that happens- a lot of the time- wrongfully, or the accuser doesn’t get all the facts before accusing? The person being blamed is just a handy one at the time.
How would that make you feel?
Can you imagine the thoughts of the adultrous woman as she was being dragged to Jesus and thrown in front of him?
1 Could have been: Now, what have I done that I didn’t know that  I did. Why don’t I get any peace, or why are they always doing to this to me? And the Thoughts could go on to … Is this my last Breath I take?? A thought could have been, WHAT IS GOING ON NOW?
Jesus probably perceived these thoughts as he bent down to write, and Stated “he who is without sin cast the first stone.”
Can you imgaine the utter amazement as she watched her accusers just vanish away? Or the relief when he asked the woman ,”Where art thine accusors?”
if i was in her shoes as she answered – I have none- I would be wanting to pass out- shout- run – with a joy so intense and gratitude.
The bible States that they told jesus They cought her in the act and she did not deny it- so we get the impression she was guilty and did not want to lie to the lord.
Then his final words – go and sin no more.
What if -it could have played out the other way where they were trying to trap Jesus again with her and they were either making it up or going on heresay?
The Lord would have known this as well and did not he remain silent before his accusers?
Let’s put the shoe on your foot when you are casting blame- how would you feel – if you were the accused and not the accuser? Especially if the charges were in error and not based in fact>?
What do you get out of this?
